HORIZON IN MALENY

When did you rebrand to Horizon Legal Group and why the change?

Lember & Williams has been part of the Maleny community for many years, under the stewardship of Carolyn Williams. I worked closely with Carolyn for several years before the firm was transitioned over to me.

However, with Carolyn having retired last year, and Michelle Lember moving onto the QCAT bench, we no longer have a “Lember” nor a “Williams” at the firm, so it was time to update our name.

As we have an office in Maleny, and an office in Caboolture, we had to consider what each of these communities have in common when deciding on a new name. Ultimately, we agreed both communities shared the same “horizon” with the Glass House Mountains, so we settled on “Horizon Legal Group” as our new name, to represent the beautiful landscape that is the backdrop to both communities.

We have recently acquired a new dedicated office space at Suite 3, Banksia House, 66 Maple St, Maleny, where our dedicated team are onsite and available to see clients.

Could you please share a little more detail about your Maleny staff?

We have 2 dedicated solicitors for our Maleny office, as well as the ability to call on extra resources from our Caboolture site when needed. Brianna Roe lives locally in the hinterland region, and she shares her time across both our Maleny office and our Caboolture office. I also attend our Maleny office from time to time as the need arises.

Brianna is very knowledgeable in all aspects of estate planning including simple wills, complex wills, enduring powers of attorney, and trust/company succession planning. She is well equipped to provide advice on deceased estates and probate. She is also knowledgeable in the area of residential conveyancing and over 50’s villages.   

What do you and your team like to do on your time off?

I am a single mum of 4 children, and can often be spotted coaching netball on the weekends, or floating horses for my children to different events.

Brianna is an avid hiker, and enjoys spending time in the outdoors. She also enjoys playing soccer socially in her team on the Sunny Coast. Brianna spent her childhood years living in America and enjoys travelling the world whenever she gets the chance.
